On the Way To the College

Well, its fascinations and aspirations........... thats what i take to college with me everyday, days and days together almost for a year now.

And to bear the weight of my aspirations and fascinations (along with me and my friend of course) is a motorbike.

As I get ready for college after those look, glances and stares at the mirror for almost a hundred times and thats when my friend arrives when i am half done. The college is around 14 km away, a bit far!!!. As Priyank arrives he calls my name is his low husky, flat, heavy voice-----> "SIDDHARTHA ". I come running out pretending that i m almost ready just left with the breakfast, shoes and the bag. He just yells at me " HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU NEED NOW???? ". In The mean times he takes a look at the bike , then gives a glance to the girls standing on the opposite side of the road waiting for a bus. Plays some outdated games on his mobile, pricks his nose, daydream.................... and to end his dreaming session i shake him up asking him to start the bike, ready to leave for college.

Biking along the streets of the town, cold shivery winter stricken stray dogs just try to make unsuccessful suicide attempts............ (ever second dogs jumps in front of the bike on the way). I ask Priyank to drive slow" Man this cold is killing me". The ice cold wind when enters your clothes and embraces your body ............... it feels awful and thats hard to express . When you are on a beach on a sunny hot day with a cool breeze coming from the sea passes through your soul touching it like a feather or a rose petal.............. and how you feel on the bike is equally opposite to this (believe me). It feels like you are lying on ice slab and the nature is hitting you with a barbed wire.

But as we accustom to the cold it gets still colder .......... who advised them establish a college on the hills ??????? It gets colder and colder , colder and colder. Burrrrrrrrr Burrrrrrrrr The bike moves along slow and at a steady speed. And we finally reach college, remove our helmets , adjust the attire, manage hair and are just ready for the long day ahead.......................

Saurav Ganguly

Wonder why i wrote saurav ganguly in blue. Not because its the colour of the cricket team jersey but just because that has been the colour of his cricketing career. Had it been, being dropped from the team after a single innings at his debut in a tough tour of Australia, or being taken off captaincy after leading the team into the world cup final and then finally being dropped from both the one-day and test squad. But Saurav ganguly has been the " GREAT COMEBACK STORY" like one of those Hollywood films. The stronger are the attempts of his rivals to crush him the stronger he returns back at them. Now lately i read it in the news that Saurav and Rahul were both dropped from the one day team on the grounds that they were not fit to play one day cricket and Mr. Vengsarkar was heard quoting " Why take those players in the team who wont be playing after an year and a half or so, we are compiling a team for the future keeping the 2011 world cup in mind"

This statement of the chief selector induces humor rather than bringing some light to his motives for excluding "DADA" from the team. It was said that it was on captain Dhoni's and vice captain Yuvraj Singh's demand that GANGULY was left out of the team. Yuvi and Dhoni wanted players in the team who were young, energetic who were quick on their feet. They said DADA wasn't quick and he wasn't able to rotate strike. He is not a good fielder and what not was said about him, this was all said to a man, a man of his stature who has contributed so much to the Indian cricket scoring more than 17000 international runs????
Moreover Indian physiotherapist "King" quoted that Ganguly's lower body would break down in the middle of the series.
Now someone tell these lads( dhoni and yuvraj) that they were in their nappies when GANGULY first came to the international arena. I contradict to these people on each and every reason or excuse as you may call it they gave to keep out GANGULY

1. VENGSARKAR saying " WE are building a team for future".

The players who'd be included in this future team are not in form ( piyush chwala and rohit sharma) are not in form ................... and who knows they might not be in form in future and in the world cup 2011 or they might get injured who knows???
So the thing is you can never build a team for the future , The team of future is just a bluff card played by the selection committee. They team is always selected for every upcoming series and not for a series which is to be played after 3 years


2. VENGSARKAR saying " Why take those players who wont be playing after a year or so"

Who knew Mr VENGSARKAR had turned to astrology for team selection. Who is he to decide that Saurav and Dravid wont be playing after a year or so. Someone need to remind Mr. VENGSARKAR that ganguly scored runs at an avg around 44 last year (2007). Better than that of your captain and vice captain!!!!!!.

3."They are not fit enough to play one-day matches, they don't rotate strike and they are not the best of the fielders".

Well a player like Saurav Ganguly who hits a boundary almost a over , when he is batting it isn't necessary to rotate strike rate. when you can get runs at 5 -5.5 an over and give a solid opening stand you need not be a good runner between the wickets. He Was really good at the top slot and was performing pretty consistently now what more is expected from him????

Everybody knows that saurav is not a good fielder and that is a truth but every player in the team cannot be a good fielder. Inzy played in the Pakistani team for a long time though he was not a good fielder, just because the class batsman he was.

4. KING - " Ganguly's lower body would break down in the middle of the series"!!!

Mr. King is the same person who included Munaf Patel in the test series in which he didnt play the first three test matches because of not being completely fit. He was finally included on KING's words in the last test match where he was seen limping in his run-up.
Now is he believed to be correct about ganguly's lower body breakdown.
Moreover even if he is correct how much time does it take to send a replacement for him from India

We all know what contributions SAURAV CHANDIDAS GANGULY has made to the Indian cricket and that cannot be ignored . Players like Ganguly ,Dravid, Sachin , Kumble and Laxman should be given the due respect from the board, selection committee and the younger players in the team

THIS IS ME

Well this is about me!!!!

Well you might be thinking now "hey this guy is self obsessed" . Believe me i m not. I want say i that i m the most humble of them all, but i m not too boastful either.

Ok then, first things first I am Siddhartha a resident of dehradun . " uuuuhhhhhh this guy is pissing me off" thats what you re thinking. they call this my mind reading abilities birth gift you see. So it would be better you say things to me than rather keeping them to yourself.

So where was i " siddhartha from dehradun". Born on 11th Nov 1988 yes you heard it right i am a scorpion. Well i am not as bad and cruel as you might have read in those astrology books, and neither i sting my prey. Do you believe in astrology???? Well if you do i know you d be running away from me. But who would be more believable a astrologer or a scorpion himself? Think about it answer could be favoring either side. They call me passionate, calm on the outside, a schemer and a hell ot of a things. I wish i could be all of these but so bad.........

I still remember those days when i was still in my life's first decade. ha !!! hippo they used to call me ......... once just once i get hold of those people i ll make them run for their life make them run like a hippo. Ya i know i was fat(almost spherical) but you don't tease someone like that .. ..... ever seen a hippo how ugly it looks!!!!! If i wasn't the fattest of all i was the naughty one, most naughty among friends. Bullying away boys , scaring girls, locking the maid in the kitchen and what not ask my parents.

Well my dreams and aspiration are too deep for you to fathom. i don't want money , power and all those things that others are striving hard for. I want respect, i want the world to know-- not me but my ethics , endeavor and endurance that i have undergone!!!!

WHY AM I HERE???

Siddhartha khandelwal , you'd be knowing me better as "Indian idle" has found another pastime called Blogging.
Well, people tried to keep me away from writing for the general welfare of the people. Don't know if you be able to stand my writings, if you are able to do that "Good" if not ignore me as one of those bloggers.
